The BFM had just got back from Dublin (Friday 27th) and was famished as I hadn’t any lunch😥. It was about 4.30 and I was walking through the Northern Mall at the Europa station in Belfast and saw a unit and was excited as it was Peanuts Smokehouse!!!
Now I was very enthused as me n the girls ate at the Peanuts Smokehouse original restaurant in July last year.
Meadows Retail Park
Then we had, courtesy of Grabone,
2 Platters (including 6 Side Dishes) & 2 Homemade Lemonades (value £25 for £11). We chose Pulled pork and chicken with Pickle, slaw, bread
Corn, mac cheese, fries and Bbq beans.
The little uns shared Sausage chips. This was washed down with delicious lemonade. There were the usual condiments as well as Peanuts own sauces North Carolina Mustard, Memphis Hot and Kansas sweet, these were served in squeezy bottles with hand written names,in the new place these had proper printed labels,so a welcome upgrade.
The food and service were fantastic and we all loved cracking open the complimentary monkey nuts and chucking the shells on the floor, rather reminiscing Raffles Long Bar in Singapore!!!
So I was thrilled to be dining at the newest addition to the family.I must say the service and decor was impeccable, but I was a little disappointed, having remembered such a good experience at the main restaurant. I went for a pulled pork sandwich and mac cheese. The bread roll was nice and moist but the pulled pork was cold and with little flavour.I had to be inventive with my sauce combos, which were superb. The mac cheese was just pasta with cheese sauce poured on top and grated cheese on top with too much salt seasoning. Definitely different from my first experience. Shame and pity as it does carry a good name.Im hoping the management will take on board!!
Like the idea of Burritos, will defo give them a try!!!

I feel expansion if done correctly is always a good thing. In this case expansion is good but just underlines the fact that replication and consistency is paramount to brand reputation, success and ultimate survival.
The second part to follow!!
Once again the BFM shares the food love!!! Ciao down now!!!
