The BFM had heard lots of good reports about Bia Restaurant so decided to check it out.
216 Falls Road

It is situated in the heart of the Gaeltacht area ie the heart of Irish spoken language in Belfast, or the Gaelic Quarter. The restaurant is housed in an old church building which also has a souvenir and Irish historical shop.
I had Mushroom risotto with garlic ciabatta (£7.95) which was a bit salty,so I asked for pepper sauce, which was basically a gravy and pepper!!!! Not very Irish. Why do so called Irish restaurants not serve traditional Irish food?
I guess the fact that the Menu is in Gaelic and English helps. It Opened in 2013. It’s a BYO AND Fridays are Fish days.
I would recommend it just for the experience and quite possibly on Fish Fridays.
Once again the BFM shares the food love!!! Ciao for now
