This weekend the Anchorage have been doing a big gamble. It is to only pay for what you have had.

So the BFM has just had an amazing lunch. I had Beer battered catch of the day (coley), homemade mushy peas, malt vinegar Mayo and triple cooked chips.
Amazing batter,very crisp. Triple cooked chips are basically oven roast for one hour,then fry in medium temperature. Once cooled deep fat fried. Potatoes are peated and everything is cooked from fresh. The coley fish is not dissimilar to cod but more sustainable.
They also do on site smoking with bushmill barrel chips which imparts a lovely flavour.
It has been open from May 2014, was the Enigma and Sullivans in previous lives. I know it will go from strength to strength.
Given them a try this weekend especially with their wonderful offers.
