Being the last Friday before Christmas I thought that town and restaurants would have been really busy, but it was surprisingly quiet!!! As was China China, it was quieter than I’ve been accustomed to. All the more for us!!!

William the owner was telling me that Christmas isn’t a really busy time as his market is usually students and families. There was a good range of food, including sushi and my favourite the Teppanyaki corner. The Teppanyaki chef was an Eastern European lady and she was fantastic, I had the Teppanyaki chicken, squid and chicken dumplings. There was all the usual Chinese starters and main courses. The food was very good and I must say the consistency has been the same for past few years. So we’ll done to William and co. If you check the web site you may find some deals, also there is a loyalty card scheme in operation.

I would definitely recommend this place as a good and authentic Chinese buffet restaurant, so get on down and enjoy!!! Prices vary, with most expensive being Friday/Saturday nights (£11).

Once again the BFM shares the food love!!! Ciao down now!!

Cosmo very cosmopolitan

The BFM wants to share his food love of Cosmo,Victoria Square,Belfast. I have said before am not a big fan of buffet, but this is the quintessential best buffet chain.

I was joined for Sunday lunch by my two sisters. I booked online on Friday for noon, and let me recommend you book in plenty of time, as when we left at two the restaurant was packed and there were queues forming to get in.

The range was amazing, from dim sum to sushi, from salads to Indian and Chinese starters of all types, including chicken tikka, seek kebab, duck pancakes, prawn toast, crackers and a myriad of others.

The main courses were from Italy (pizza and pasta), traditional roast dinner, live cooking stations exhibiting Teppanyaki (I had the scallop and prawns) and grilled meats (I had chicken and ribs). There was also live noodle station and real Tandoori oven cooking Tandoori chicken and naan.

There was a great selection of curries/meat in sauce dishes. From the Indian kitchen there was chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, dun lamb curry, chick pea curry, potatoes and rice.

Then Japanese,Thai,Chinese,Korean too many to mention, you just have to go.

Just when you think you cannot eat any more there’s the sweet section, say no more. Extremely highly recommended,so get down to Cosmo.

Best Chinese buffet chain in NI

The BFM is reminiscing about a trip to what I feel is one of the best Chinese buffet restaurants in Belfast.

101-150 York street
Cityside Retail Park
Belfast
02890 754811
info@mandarin-buffet.co.uk
http://www.mandarin-buffet.co.uk

They have three other branches in Cookstown, Bangor and Enniskillen.

The food is great. I feel there is just the right amount of food for a Chinese buffet and not too much choice, so you can taste everything. The quality is consistent and I have nothing bad to say against it.

Food is always hot, fresh and frequently replenished. The staff are very good and Michael the manager is great.

It’s located at the Cityside Mall, so you can do your shopping, watch a money and have food, all at a reasonable price.

Once again the BFM shares the food love!!! Ciao for now

Teppanyaki buffet in Lisburn

The BFM tried the Red Wok in Lisburn a couple of weeks ago and was very pleased with the food. The selection was enough to try each and every dish at lunch time.

Lisburn Leisure Park
Lisburn

It used to be Ginza and I must say it has matured very well. I had the buffet lunch including the Teppanyaki (chicken and squid). There was just enough of a variety to keep me satisfied. As I’ve said before too much food can spoil choices.

I would say if you get a chance check it out.

Gr8 Chinese Buffet

The BFM has had a gr8 evening after being helped by the bodies in the Apple store. Then I treated myself to some Chinese at China Buffet King.

Victoria Square

All the favourite Chinese cuisine was there,so would thoroughly recommend it compared with another equally appetising brand close by!!!

Service was amazing, staff all wore smiles.
